BIJELJINA-BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

Etno selo "Stanišići", izvan sadašnjeg vremena i prostora, vraća nas precima i prirodi, i budi u nama divljenje prema jednostavnosti nekadašnjeg načina života.

ENGLISH VERSION:

On the way out of Bijeljina on the third kilometer to Pavlović's bridge is located Ethno Village "Stanišić". Ethno Village "Stanišić" out of our time and space, takes us back to ancestors and nature, and making us admire the simplicity of life.
Here you can rest your eyes and soul, become nobler and wiser listening murmuring streams and the watermill. Ethno Village "Stanišić" was founded in 2003, thanks to the inspiration of Boris Stanisic. Over several years he traveled through Serbian villages in central Bosnia searching for old houses and objects that would keep alive the one time of life at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. The result is an authentic mountain village in the midst of Semberija flatland.

The village has two parts. One depicts the life of the world and was built of wood. It consists of wooden houses - chalets with furniture that belonged to them for centuries. Houses linking paved stone paths, and in the center of the village are two lakes. The second section is a spiritual character, with the medieval architecture built in stone, which is in fact a collection of replicas of historical and religious significance.
